Chair Stunts... all by himself.

A little nervous...??

NOT a chance!
He got down before going head over feet. Those little blue things are supposed to prevent the chair from rocking too far back when SITTING in it. Probably NOT going to work if you stand in it!
Then he laid down and watched a little tv... phew! The next day while playing with his chair, he got another BUMP to his head when he went head over feet into the ottoman... at least the ottoman is cushy! :)

Get up, get up and get down.... JUMP! JUMP!

DJ still isn't crawling 100%... mostly he still army crawls, but here and there he will get up on his knees and take a step (knee) or two... He certainly is good at pulling himself up on things! The bad side to this is that he must also learn how to get down! Sometimes this ends in tears... how many times has he fallen in the last week? I was feeling bad since DJ had fallen straight back on his head after pulling himself up on my dresser... I was RIGHT there, but couldn't get him in time. Then he dove off the chair in the office... I was right there, he just slipped right through my hands. I was feeling bad and talking to a friend... and she said that her boy dove off their bed that is pretty high off the ground... we haven't done that one yet... thank heavens... I felt a little better!! Oh my... "the age of bumps and bruises"!

Here, DJ is trying to get a magazine... he loves playing with those!! Oh, to tear and eat paper! YUM!!

Then here, he's pulled himself up to look out the window.....???

FAT CHANCE! He's only tricking you... cuz a SECOND later, he's reaching for the strings on the blinds!!

I LOVE this one cuz he's on his tippy toes! Who taught him how to do this!!??

DJ Loves jumping in his jumper... there is a brief case under him because the doorway is too high for his feet to reach the floor! LOL

A PAINLESS night trip to the store...

Don was out camping with the scouts for a few days... so I took DJ to the gym with me... after my gym class, it was late (certainly past DJ's bedtime...) but I needed bananas for breakfast the next morning! LUCKILY... one of our favorite grocery stores has these cool shopping carts that made shopping late at night a LOT easier!! No fussing at all when he normally would've!

With Hawaiian music playing in the background... I unveiled Don's Father's Day gift!
Since we've been married, Don has mentioned a few times that he likes tiki torches and someday would like to get some. :) He said it again recently... perfect timing for a Father's Day gift!
We have a very boring backyard... SOMEday, we will have a tropical oasis backyard and the tiki torches will add to the beauty...

until then... they are fun to sit next to in the evenings! The fuel has citronella in it to keep the bugs away! Yay!

Don also has wanted a case for his Eagle Scout 'stuff'... as they were all nestled in a storage bin in our garage. Bad place for such an honorable award!! He received this flag, badges and medal upon completion of his eagle scout project requirements... and they fit nicely in this frame! This flag was flown over the state Capital of Oregon... the state he lived in when he received his Eagle Scout Award.

Happy Fathers day to my WONDERFUL HUSBAND and daddy to my little guy! Happy Fathers day to my AWESOME FATHER!!! I couldn't have asked for a better dad! Happy Father's Day to Don's Dad... and Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful Fathers out there! :) xoxo

What!?? The ice cream is all gone!??

DJ LOVES ice cream...

he was a LITTLE upset when the ice cream was all gone...

he was also a LITTLE tired... (the eye-rubbing give it away?) :) ... sucking his thumb makes the tears go away!

Here Fishy, Fishy

So it is a Tuesday evening... a few hours before DJ's bedtime and I wanted to get out of the house!! :) So, we went to go feed the fishies again! :) Notice Don's T-shirt says: Here Fishy Fishy.

DJ ate more bread than we gave to the fishies... luckily there were tons of other people giving the fishies plenty to eat!

Here is a video clip of just how many fish there are in a spot trying to get the food being thrown in at them. There are like four of these groups of fish in the marina where they are being fed by many people... crazy!

THEN... there was this pretty bird, and I was wondering WHY it was standing so close to the people on the bridge near the platform where he was standing!!

THEN...he jumped even closer to us and began looking down at the water... he was trying to get a dead fish was floating on the water... just looks like a white dot in this picture... (you can click on it to make it bigger)

Well, Can you see the big bulge in his neck? Yup! That's the little fishy...

DJ Pulled Himself Up!

Here are the play by play pictures of DJ pulling himself up. There was motivation behind DJ wanting to stand up... he was trying to get as close as he possibly could to Don's rootbeer-flavored slushy!

Random Stuff...

DJ started cutting his first two bottom teeth when we were in Colorado... but it is tough to get pictures of those little things! He just wanted to play ppppbbbblllt with his tongue...
then he got hungry and immediately super fussy... but at least we got a view of the pearly whites! :) Click on the picture to see them close up! :)

DJ has been army crawling for a few weeks... so funny to watch! It's even more funny now that he can go real fast! He gets soo excited!

...but look at his poor big toes! He doesn't seem to be bothered by the blisters, thank Heaven!

When we went to the pool, ALL of his toes were peeling like crazy! I hope he learns to crawl soon!

We were at Toys R Us for a swim shirt and saw these toys... I couldn't resist... this dirt bike looks like mine...

and the John Deer tractor looks like one I had when I was a little girl! I loved that thing! :)
