Country Critters Farm

ANOTHER PETTING FARM! :) Don took a few hours off work to come play with us. Don had taken DJ to a petting zoo last week, but I wanted to take him back to the place we went last year with the big white fluffy dog that DJ loved and gave big hugs to! Here is DJ playing with other kids on the train, 'driving' the tractor, sitting on the BIG TIRES... (DJ has to always touch the tires at Costco, or tires on big trucks... he LOVES tires...???) So we got a picture of him sitting on the big tractor tire! We went on a hay ride, DJ brushed the goats and fed them some hay... and of course we got to pick out a pumpkin! It was such a nice day... THANKS DADDY for taking time off work to come with us!

More Halloweeny Pics and Monkeying Around!

Our church had a Halloween-themed playgroup lunch... it was so fun! DJ sitting next to some friends... Sophia, Jaxon and Henry. DJ LOVES looking at all the costumes! He ALSO was upstairs hanging on the railing... making monkey noises... oo-oo-ee-ee! FUNNY CHILD!

Lynn Creek Petting Zoo

Don took DJ to a petting zoo near our house... they had so much fun! DJ played with a sticker while sitting next to a scarecrow. He checked out a calf, then gave it a hug... then ran around with the chickens! Our little boy is growing up so fast!

Boo at the Zoo!

We went to the Ft. Worth Zoo for "Boo at the Zoo" with our friends; Valerie, Brayden and Jeanine! We had so much fun spending time with them!
Here are Brayden and DJ just before entering the zoo.
We walked around to see all the animals... then made our way over to the special 'Boo at the Zoo' area where they had trick or treating booths for the kids to collect candy, along with games to play and a stage with performers and animals.
Here is DJ with one of the nice witches that sang some fun songs!
The zoo workers also brought out some animals for the kids to look at and touch. Even this HUGE snake! Brayden is up there helping to hold up this huge snake!
DJ loved seeing so many familiar things that the kids were wearing as costumes! He loves butterflies... and when he saw this fairy, he pointed to it and said, "butterfly" soo excited!
THEN... of course he had to play with this little boy's costume who was dressed up as Buzz Light Year! I apologized a few times for DJ touching this complete stranger... I jokingly said... it's your fault for having such a cool costume! ;) Luckily they were OK with DJ's interest in his costume... probably since DJ made a darling turtle.
One of DJ's favorite movies aside from Toy Story, is Finding Nemo... he was excited to see NEMO as well! :)
Thanks to our friends for spending the day with us... it was so much fun!

How did I not know!!??

So I was in the adjoining room watching TV... close enough to get this picture, but my back was to DJ and I had no CLUE what he was up to! All I knew was that it was waay too quiet so I turned around to see what he was UP to... and this is what I saw!

There is no chair nearby... which would've made a lot of noise, but how did he get up there? Before getting him down and telling him that this is NOT OK... I had to get a few pictures! :) Then I noticed the little green tractor... next to the cabinets... that he must've used to get himself up there... I was in shock that he got up there.

I sent this picture to my sister and she said that Conner and Cayden want to know if there is candy up in that cabinet, and the answer is YES! BUT, that wasn't was DJ was after! When I got him down... he started running away from me super fast, so I knew he had something that he wasn't supposed to have... luckily I ran fast enough behind him and got a QUARTER from him before he put it in his mouth! :)

A few minutes later he kept asking for BUBBLES... and to go outside to do bubbles... That's where we keep the bubbles. :)

DJ's First Camping Trip!

Don is in charge of the activities for our church... so since it's cooled down a lot, he planned a camping activity! It was DJ's first time camping. He LOVED it! :) We had a large tent, so we brought the pack n play for DJ to sleep in... air mattress with memory foam topper for us... we all slept great!
DJ was so excited when he woke up and said camping over and over.
He liked playing with the magnetic tent lights and of course FLASHLIGHTS!
We had a few spider visitors making homes in our rain fly... luckily they weren't inside the tent! :)
We packed up to go home... DJ kept running off, so I gave him a pumpkin cookie! Here he sat for a few minutes on the bench.
DJ ran off again... so I put him in the bed of the truck while we folded the tent. :) Muuaaahhahaha!
I just got a used iTouch for DJ to play with during church... to keep him a little quieter and STILL... (it's working so far) :) I've kind of taken it over as mine though. It's a pretty neat gadget! One of DJ's favorite things to do is listen to the ABC song OVER AND OVER AND OVER on it. :)
Another funny thing is that we had DJ in tennis shoes while camping... while DJ is used to only flip flops because it's been summer... so when ever DJ sees those tennis shoes now, he says: "for camping!"

San Antonio Zoo With Auntie Alli

DJ loves animals... and now that he's started watching a few cartoons with animals in them... this trip to the zoo was super fun for him! He loved the Elephant!

The night before coming to the zoo, we took DJ to a park to release some energy! He was hanging from the bar above the slide, lifting up his feet making monkey noises... oo-oo, ee-ee! It was so funny...
So he LOVED seeing the monkeys jump around and swing!
We saw hippos sleeping in the water... one is completely laying on the other with his feet floating...
The other kept lifting his head out of the water. How cool to see them this close! They have HUGE heads!
"S" is for snake... ssssssss! DJ has learned on The Cat in the Hat cartoon the word & animal snake! So he was interested to see one!
We went into the butterfly house... DJ LOVES butterflies and points them out when ever we see them...
He got a little nervous at times and wanted to hide in my legs, but overall he loved it... we did too! They are super pretty!
Last, but NOT least... we went on the train ride! One of the shows that DJ LOVES watching right now is Dinosaur Train... every episode, this little dinosaur family gets on the Dinosaur Train to go explore about different dinosaurs in different time periods.
DJ loves saying, "All Aboard"... and loved it when he heard the conductor say "All Aboard" when we got on the train.
DJ got really nervous when the train whistle blew... it was really loud and we were on the very front row of the train! But I explained to him that it is the train's whistle... Choo-choo... he understood and then relaxed! :)
DJ pretended to be a doggy by sticking his tongue out and licking my face... FUN! :\ teehee

Big Red Ruff

Since it was General Conference weekend and Don had a conference for work down in San Antonio... we decided to make a family trip out of it to go visit Mike and Alli, watch Conference with them and see their new house! Alli volunteers a lot for the humane society and I can't remember the name of this event... but the most important thing for DJ was this BIG RED DOG! Check out DJ's face in this picture! A HUGE SMILE!
DJ has been watching Clifford a lot these days... and that is what this dog got called... OF COURSE... but his name tag said Big Red Ruff. :)
