Sand Box

Grammie and Grandpa Foulk gave DJ this sand box for his 1st birthday... we went outside to play in it... I burried his feet, he loved playing with the shovel...
and then a big airplane flew over head... and that was most exciting!
Of course... a toddler can't play in the sand box without eating some of the sand... YUM! (YUCK!)

LOVE MY CALLING AT CHURCH!!!

I was recently called to be the Young Women's President at church... we just went on an OVERNIGHT rock climbing and repelling camping activity with the Teachers, Priests and Laurels. It was soo much fun! I was apprehensive at first... but these kids are amazing... so much fun. I LOVE my calling! Love being able to work with and spend so much time with the youth! GREAT GROUP OF KIDS!

Don and I have known each other for close to ten years... friends of friends! And TODAY was our THREE YEAR anniversay from when we got married. I love you Hun! You are the best husband ever... and I couldn't imagine life any other way! Thanks for being so wonderful to me and a great daddy to DJ... and thanks for the beautiful flowers and sweet card! xoxo

Biggest Gutt Laugh EVER

OK... so feeding DJ was a little tough last week to say the least! CRAZY since he likes to eat ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING! Well, not last week! He refused to eat. But then, I got an idea! I gave DJ his own REAL FORK! Not the SILLY PLASTIC forks... DUH! A REAL FORK! That was the only way I could sneak in a bite is if I'd give him the fork first... hmmm, well it turned into a workout because... THROWING the fork became part of the OH SO MUCH FUN mealtimes! Good thing this only lasted for two days! I love how DJ covers his mouth... like he's trying to be inconspicuous about his laughing..?? Where DOES he get that!?

Distracted Driving...

DJ is getting around a LOT faster these days riding on his Retro Rocket and pushing his John Deer Tractor! He uses anything he can find to pretend it is a phone... and he goes on and on... babbling about really important stuff I'm sure! I don't know where he gets it!?
Here's DJ pushing his little John Deer Tractor that he got from UncleTrina. He LOVES pushing this around because he can get places MUCH FASTER... just wait until he can walk un-assisted! WAHOO! We are getting closer!

RAIN! RAIN! RAIN!

We just got over 12 inches of rain in just 3 days! We had about 2 weeks of cloudiness and rain... but the majority of it hit hard in just those three days. Here is a picture of the marina at the lake near our house where we got feed the fish and ducks... we usually sit on this wall and dangle our feet over... um... not now unless you want to go for a swim!

It's Taken Over My Life!! ...SAVE ME!

I'm going to post about something OTHER than darling DJ... since he is the majority of our blog posts... I'm posting about something that is consuming almost 100% of my time... so much time... that other things are going neglected... house cleaning, emails, showers, brushing my teeth, getting dressed, daylight time, time with friends, even Facebook! LOL This time consuming "thing" is my dreaded Photo Scanning Project! I bought this awesome printer/scanner/copier machine that also converts negatives and slides about FIVE years ago... with intent to digitize all my old photos... ALL OF THEM... and NEVER made time or had the desire to do it... and in the past few weeks... I've had a GREAT desire to get it done... and I'm plugging along! I started with SORTING all the photos into piles by year!

Years 1974 through 1992 were pretty quick since there weren't as many photos... but it all really began in 1993 when I went to college and bought my own camera! Lots to do and see in college!

I am currently scanning 1999... what a great year... I went to HAWAII that year! FUN TIMES!

I'm sooo happy that this project is getting worked on and getting closer to being done! Just TWO BOXES LEFT TO SCAN!

Abby's Play Town... fun!

Today our playgroup went to Abby's Play Town... a super neat place! They had all kinds of toys for the little kiddos. I LOVED IT! We took our friend Gavin with us... he and DJ had a blast with all the other kids!

DJ STANDS!

DJ has become super confident... when we hold his fingers so he can walk... he will pull his fingers out from ours to do it on his own... hmmm he thinks he's more ready that he really is! Here we caught it on video of him pulling his fingers out to stand on his own! Walking will be here in no time! :)

Labor Day.... Splash! Splash!

We headed over to the nearby waterslide park for some fun. It was a nice day and not too hot... DJ was a little tired though. We ran into a lot of friends there... one of whom offered to watch DJ so Don and I could go on some slides... THANKS Beeson's! :) HAPPY LABOR DAY!

He's getting faster... LISTEN at the end of this video... when I tell DJ to say "Mama"... he says Da-da... I think he thinks Don and I are both Da-da... he will not say Mama... only Dada. :)

Mobility is getting faster...

Not Fast Enough...

DJ LOVES "nanas"! As soon as I say the word... he gets excited for one... repeating "nana! nana!" He has one almost every morning.

This particular morning, I was not fast enough in opening the banana for him! Luckily he was kind enough and gave me his bite back!

M&Ms

I used to have a gumball machine like this one when I was a little girl. I was missing it recently so I got one with my eBay credit! I don't fill it up with gumballs... but with peanut M&Ms! :) DJ has become VERRRRRY fond of the M&M machine! He knows that sometimes... if you turn the handle a little bit without putting money in it... that you can still get some candy to fall out! It is so fun to watch him enjoy this! I'm not sure how much longer we will be able to keep this out where he has access to it... I'm scared of it tipping over and breaking!

No peanut allergies! Yippee! Sometimes he sucks on the M&Ms, then gives you the peanut back when he's "done". LOTS of colored drool too! :)

First Push Pop...

Sometimes these posts might be a little boring to the average reader... but dangit. DJ has been sooo much fun! He is constantly making me laugh! Some people have to leave church because their kids are screaming... we have to leave church because DJ is talking up a storm and cracking himself up. I just love this little guy so much! Here he is with his first push pop and brain freeze! LOL
