"Daddy in Cago!"

DJ is learning to say so many things these days... it is so fun to hear him repeat words and put words together. Some things he says are:

'Ma-Ma-Ma-Melon' (Watermelon)

Fuff-Fuff for Doggie, because that's (ruff-ruff) what a dog says!

Anything in the sippy cup is 'wa-wa'...

'Chocolate Milk' is a very important phrase!

Ever since we went through the drive through car wash... DJ has been concerned that our cars are clean... so he says 'car wash' and 'a-keen' a lot!

Don had to go to Chicago for work for a few days... and DJ kept asking me: "Da-da work?" So I said, "Daddy is in Chicago." The next thing I know... DJ is saying over and over, "Daddy Cago?" I had to take a video of it and sent it to Don! I soo love this stage DJ is in right now! I've loved all the stages I guess... being a mommy is the best!

Girls Camp 2010!

So... this was the first time I had been to Girls Camp since I was a Young Woman in 1992! That was 18 (EIGHTEEN) years ago! I have VERY fond memories from when I went to Girls Camp... and was really excited to share this with my girls this year as their leader!
We did cook-outs over fire... including hot dogs, smores, cakes, cookies, pizzas and banana boats!
Skits! (two of my girls were Stake Youth Camp Leaders!)
More skits!
Even more skits!
Then of course... we learned about First Aid!
We went on hikes... and got side-tracked while doing so...
We went
canoeing!
Some of us went fishing!
Cheesy Leaders! This is the amazing Stake Camp Director..... GREAT JOB SUSAN!!
We had some crazy 'friends' there... holy moly, thank heavens for our enclosed and air-conditioned cabins! (no whining about the A/C... we need that here in The Big Hot Texas!)
I was a level leader for one of the groups... and they had a service project to do to complete their level... and our project was to install a flag pole! Our girls dug a hole in the heat and sun... then we poured concrete...
That night, we were able to hang our Virtue Flag on the pole we installed. Virtue is our newest Young Women Value!

Girls Camp takes a lot of work... and we are so grateful for all the effort that goes into it! We ended the week of camp with a WONDERFUL testimony meeting, where all the girls got to share their testimonies of Jesus Christ and the many other things that make their lives so full of happiness and joy! XOXO Til next year!
