While we were visiting my sister in Boston... they had the missionaries over for dinner.... Conner was super excited to have them over... and jumped up in the couch right next to them! DJ, Conner's little shadow... jumped up on the couch right next to Conner and folded his legs just like Conner!

DJ loved sitting in this high chair... he kept asking to sit in it with the buckle ON... asking for more food probably just to sit here! LOL

It also was Allie's birthday!! We had pasta, green beans and yummy strawberry ice cream with cake!

Then Allie got to open presents with the help of her Daddy and brothers!

Some of the presents she received were a pink piggy bank... with some money to stick inside!

She got a white swim cover up with a hood!

She also got a new night gown... with a smaller matching night gown for her doll...

By the looks of it... I think that this might've been her favorite gift. :)

THANKS FOR SUCH A GREAT TIME IN BOSTON!! WE LOVE YOU JONES'! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINDSAY AND ALLISON! :)

Plymouth Rock, MA

Next... we went to Plymouth, MA on the coast to see the rock where the pilgrams first stepped foot on the North American soil from various European countries. We got to go on the Mayflower II ship!
There was a replica village set up to show how the pilgrams lived once they arrived here. They lived in these very humble homes with really nice hand carved furniture that they brought with them.
Cayden exploring in the houses and talking to the very nice pilgrams!
Here is sweet Allie taking a break from all the walking. :)
Cayden checking out the chicken coop. He saw several eggs in there!
Then he found some chicks with their mommy outside the coop!
Then we found where all the chickens were hanging out... rolling in the dirt!
Reminds us of our chickens that we used to have!
Allie waving at the chickens. DARLING!
Allie, Cayden and Conner doing the chicken dance! :) LOVE these kids!
There was this larger building in the village that we were told they held town meetings in or church services in... there were a few cannons on the 2nd story of this building...
DJ had a blast running so fast around them....
So fast... that he came out blurry in the pictures!

To Boston... A Visit to the US Constitution!

My sister Lindsay and her family moved to Boston last summer for her husband's job. We were so excited to go see them, to see their new home and to check out Boston! :) It was also a surprise for Lindsay's birthday! (she didn't know we were coming!)
THANKS UNCLE KEIR!
Don and DJ reading the Sky Mall magazine! :) That poor magazine saw it's last flight that day... in trying to keep DJ quiet on the plane... I let him rip that magazine to pieces!
Lindsay pushing her daughter Allie in the stroller with DJ in Boston... heading to the US Constitution ship!
Here is a close up shot of cousins DJ and Allie! Allie is 4 months older than DJ!
As soon as we got on the ship, DJ took off running... hence, the "Backpack" on a string!!
We got to go down inside the ship... and saw the cannons...
Then we saw the hammocks where the sailors sleep! I'm greatful for my bed and central air! Imagine how stuffy it gets in there with no windows, no fans and 100s of men sharing that small space!
DJ next to the US Constitution life ring.

Here are all the cousins next to the US Constitution life ring... Conner, Cayden, Allie and DJ.

Record-Breaking Snow in Texas!

Since the weather people have been keeping records of the weather here in Texas (like the 1900's) they have NEVER seen this much snow here, EVER! We got about 11" of snow on Thursday! CRAZY! Everything stopped pretty much for Friday since we aren't equipped with snow-removal trucks or very many salt/sand trucks to clear the roads. The snow was almost gone from the roads by Saturday... but we had snow on our yard for several days!
You could tell which of our neighbors had come from other snowy states... because we had snow shovels. Those that weren't, used regular yard shovels... funny!
Interesting to see how many of our neighbors had snow shovels! :) We have had 3 or 4 snow storms this winter! Ice storms are more common here... but I'd rather have snow!

OK... so it's been a looong time since I've blogged, and didn't feel there was much to blog about... but I guess there was!
Here we have Stunt DJ... I guess he grew out of the walker!
We have returned this to our friends who loaned it to us!! :)
One day during lunch... DJ started giggling soo loud, I turned to see what was so funny... it took me a minute to figure it out... but look closely at his 'corny' nose!

DJ's first Tootsie Pop!
Kickin back like Daddy watchin' TV!
DJ LOVES riding his tractor, THANKS Uncle Trina! He goes sooo fast, I don't know how he gets those little legs to move that fast!?
Everytime I eat a grapefruit... DJ begs for the skins...??? He likes me to turn them inside out and he sucks on them!! LOL
My Texas Cowboys!
DJ has made a habbit of watching TV in this position... strategically posed on the arm of the sofa...
Well, during the crazy SuperBowl game... he started to slide off and fall to the seats below...
FUNNY
TOUCHDOWN!
Sweet DJ... making "Pbbbbbbbttttt" sounds. :)
