We got this shirt for DJ when he was very little, and couldn't wait to have him try it on when he was just 6 months old. He couldn't even stand by himself yet, I propped him up against the fireplace! Then here is DJ again at 3.5 years old in the same shirt. Dang, he is so much bigger now! Time flies!
One day... after getting upset with DJ over and over for always being loud and waking up Callie during her nap time... I pulled out our old box fan to put in her room for LOUD white noise. This fan had been sitting in the garage for years and had never been cleaned. I pulled all the screws out to clean it. After wiping it down, I put it ALL back together... so I thought. A few days later, Callie was crawling around on the floor where I had been cleaning the fan. She started choking. I thought she was choking on a popcorn kernal. (highly likely since we are always eating popcorn in that room) She started crying while choking and I was getting worried... I didn't think crying was very normal when you choke. I turned her over and patted her back and this is what landed on the floor. I'd cry too if this was in my throat. Holy moly... maybe I shouldn't be posting this... butI am so grateful that Callie is OK and that last screw made it back into the fan where it belongs!
We are soo very lucky to have such a WONDERFUL husband and father in our lives! Don is amazing, thoughtful, loves us, plays with us, works so hard for us, spends all his free time with us! The three of us took Don to dinner, then had his favorite chocolate cake at home after! Here is DJ doing a great job singing Happy Birthday to Don... what a love bug DJ is!! (Tonight, we also found out that Callie is getting her first tooth!) HAPPY BIRTHDAY DON!
DJ loved participating in his preschool's Christmas Program. He sang the songs, did the hand motions... and clapped the loudest! :) He had everyone in stitches laughing because of his contagious laughter. We love you Sweet DJ!
First ride in a shopping cart sitting up like a big girl. First time meeting a cat... she loved the cat! First teeth! First time in a swing... oh, she loved that! First time pinching and eating bananas... she loved that. First time eating a lolipop... she really loved that!
Oooooooh I remember being REALLY frustrated while taking these pictures! This child of mine (DJ) likes to be goofy and has a VERY hard time sitting still. I'm so glad that I got some good pictures of my babies looking so cute in their Halloween costumes. The last one is of DJ and his sweet friend Carly when we went to Boo at the Zoo. So fun! Sweet kids! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
