Open and close, Open and Close....

DJ is fascinated with doors... cabinet doors, toy doors, room doors... anything that will open and close... he will open and close it over and over! He crawls into a room, gets behind the door... and slams the door shut (really loud sometimes) with his feet! LOL Oh, he's soo much fun. Definately keeps us laughing!

It's only fun until someone gets hurt!

I was sitting at the computer and this is what I saw... DJ had taken the white night light out of the outlet and was playing with it... while laying INSIDE the base of the hall tree... lol Luckily no injuries to report here. he's having a GREAT time. We have since replaced that night light with a child proof outlet cover!

DJ is so proud here as he has pulled himself up to stand on this table toy. This toy was flat on the floor without it's legs until now... he's completely enjoying this as you can see... Thanks Gramma Kurtz!

I couldn't see DJ but I could hear him... he was under the desk in the kitchen standing up, holding on to the chair with a HUGE SMILE! I ran to get the camera and he stood up to high and hit his head on the bottom of the desk... smile had vanished and tears rushed in... DARNIT! That would've been a cool picture... I guess this picture is pretty funny too. He hasn't gone back here again to play! :)

Mobility and Curiosity...

Now that DJ is now mobile throughout the ENTIRE house, even upstairs... we find ourselves in this situation a lot:

After you say NO, he stops to look at you because he DOES understand... but the curiosity kills him and he keeps going for it. LOL

Another post about the Jumper...

OK... so DJ has come to really like the jumper... he will jump in your lap, he likes jumping so much! Not only does he jump super high in the jumper, he's starting to spin! Unfortunately, he stopped jumping sky high by the time I got the camera out... BUMMER! ...but sometimes he catches some serious air... and then gets so dizzy from spinning that he can't hold his head up straight for a few seconds afterwards! LOL

California Houseboat Trip...

DJ clapped his feet since he was SOOO excited to get off the airplane! We got up at 5:30am Dallas time (2:30am CA time) ...and DJ DID NOT sleep AT ALL on the 3-hour plane ride! The poor man next to us had to put up with DJ's squirminess. I guess it could've been worse... he didn't cry thanks to the endless supply of snacks! Good boy DJ! We were so excited to see UncleTrina and Grammie pick us up at the airport!!!
We stopped to get some groceries... DJ was HUNGRY AND TIRED... then Grammie and UncleTrina saved the day with a sugar cookie in one hand and a french fry in the other!

After just a few minutes in the car... DJ passed out! He usually has two 2-3 hour naps a day.... are we going to make it through this week with little-to-no naps!?? :)

We ARRIVED to the houseboat on Lake McClure, California!! Just a 2.5 hour drive from the San Jose Airport... HAPPY 4th of July!
We all spent a LOT of time 'partying in the water'! All the cousins and 4 dogs!

Grammie and Grandpa watched us from the houseboat! :)

Cousins, Aunties and Grammies give DJ lots of attention and most importantly... FOOD! Food always makes DJ happy!



After a long day of playing... FINALLY... a NAP! Just a 30 minute nap... but I'll take what I can get... as these were few and far between on the house boat... too much to do!
THEN... came fishing... JC caught a catfish!










Nicole also caught a catfish!

Jeff caught a rainbow trout...

Katrina and three of the dogs caught a bass but the CHEAP line that came with the fishing pole broke. I saw it before it got away.... even if Jeff doesn't believe us! :)


Well... here we are, SAD day! :( All packed up... getting dropped off at the marina to get in the LT to drive to the San Jose Airport... IT WAS SO FUN!


DJ was fussy again... due to lack of sleep and hunger! (IMAGINE THAT!) so I gave him his snack cup that he can feed himself with.... he 'clearly' has HAPPY FEET! :)

This was the sunset the night we went back home to Dallas... Katrina said that she did a night swim watching the sunset.... awe man... wish I was still there! MISS THE LAKE ALREADY! :) Miss you guys too!

Hawaiian Falls

Don had the day off today and since DJ & I leave for California tomorrow for 5 days, we decided to do something fun! :) We decided to go to Hawaiian Falls water park! EVERYONE else in the state of Texas had the same idea! LOL We met up with some friends there and played for a few hours... we played in the Beach Pool, rode on inner tubes in the Lazy River... and played in the water fountains. DJ had a blast! We will definately go back soon! :)

Am I ready for this???
