Miss Callie is 6 Months Old!!

Here is Callie with one of her first babysitters, Katie! Then sportin' her converse high tops, rolling in the Dr paper at her 6 month Dr appointment. Speaking of the 6 month Dr appointment, Callie weighed in at 15 lbs and 7 ounces, so she gained about 1.5 pounds in two months. She measured in at 27 inches, which is a whole inch taller from two months ago! She's still 50% in weight and 75% in height. YOU GO GIRL!

Peanutty Deliciousness

From the movies Mars Needs Moms the rocket space ship lands on Mars... well, you'll see in this video that Callie's head has become a landing place (Mars) for DJ's rocket spaceship. When Callie was born, she quickly got the nickname Peanutty Deliciousness... because she was sooo YUMMY! Let me explain. We were into watching the movie Despicable Me a LOT and in that movie little girls sell cookies that are called 'coconutties'... I got into a habbit of calling my babies peanut (don't most people!?), which turned into peanutty (due to that movie). Then there was a commercial on tv a bunch around the time Callie was born where a lady said deliciousness (loved that word!)... so I put the two together... DJ still calls Callie, "Peanutty Deliciousness"

Trip to Boston...

...to see my little sister and her family who just had a baby girl, Amelia! Isn't she just precious!! Don couldn't come with us due to work, and I was scared to death to travel on my own with a toddler and a baby! Some even told me I was crazy! I had a migraine for two days prior to our trip, worrying about the kids behaving OK on the plane! Here are a few pictures of the mess before packing the suitcase for the three of us! yeay, everything fit! As you can see in the pictures, Callie fast asleep and DJ with his headphones on... both kids doing great, what on Earth was I so worried about!!?? Well, I did have difficult moments at times, bit overall the flights went well especially with help from friends and strangers! Friend who helped me get to security and strangers, a very nice lady carried Callie on the plane for me while I carried our bags, DJ's carseat and held DJ's hand! We had a lot of fun visiting with our cousins, with Grammie and Grandpa, uncle Keir and Aunt Lindsay! Little Allie Grace who is 4 months older than DJ was holding Callie... CUTE! Then there is my 'tiny' Callie laying next to baby Amelia, Callie is not so tiny anymore!! We had lunch one day at this restaurant and there was this statue there that DJ was loving on, hugging and holding his hand... teehee We had so much fun with our cousins and Grammie and Grandpa!!! WISH WE ALL LIVED CLOSER!!

DJ's FIRST DAY of Preschool!!

DJ did a great job on his first day of preschool! :) What a big boy! He loves going and is learning so much! He definitely gives the teacher a run for her money... and he's kinda grown out of naps (which makes the state required naptime difficult!) He carries his nap map, blanket and pillow on his back and rolls his backpack to his classroom every day. I can't believe he's growing so fast!

DJ's a GREAT Big Brother!!

DJ's world has been rocked since baby Callie arrived! He went from getting all the attention, to seeing 'SOMEONE' else getting MOST of the attention. Poor guy! Callie requires a lot more than DJ did when he was a baby, but now it seems that DJ requires a LOT more than he did before Callie was born... this is difficult! He is a rough and tumbly boy that also wants to love on Callie so much it is sweet. Sometimes I find him poking her eyes though... (that's the "difficult" part!) I hope she makes it to see her first birthday! We are 7/12 of the way there... I think we will make it. :) Overall DJ has been a GREAT helper and great big brother to Callie! He brings me burp cloths, diapers, wipes, blankets... he's a great helper! We started letting him play games on the computer at PBSkids.org and he LOVES it! I can't believe how fast he figures those games out! We love you DJ!
