Since Don had accepted a job in Columbus, Ohio that would be starting soon, we decided to make a trip to Galveston for a little family vacation before Don left and before we moved away from Texas. We passed this statue of Sam Houston alongside the road on our way down south.
We went to the beach, the boardwalk, road on a ferry, saw a lot of neat sights and ate lots of yummy food. We were so glad that we were able to take this little trip since we hadn't gone to see Galveston since we had lived in Texas.

A small amusement park on the pier in Galveston... wasn't open when we were there, but looked like a lot of fun! :)
After making a stop at Walmart to get a few beachy items... we finally made it to the beach.

So glad we were able to make this quick trip... it was so much fun!
